Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Professional Community Development with various tasks to include : researching donors and companies for upcoming conferences creating quarterly newsletter and stewardship letters contacting alumni about video project work on filming and editing videos representing the University at events drafting invitations creating timelines for projects overseeing MAT graduate program marketing campaign assisting with event planning tasks and working with all departments to accomplish specific projects for the School of Education as assigned. This position works in full partnership with other School of Education student employees as well as all School of Education faculty and staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrates initiative leadership energy and sound judgment Strong oral and written communication skills Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail Work collaboratively and effectively with the School of Education faculty and staff members other student workers etc. Comfortable interacting with alumni and friends of the University in a public setting Comfortable interacting with faculty staff alumni and friends of the University via email and phone Experience with all Microsoft programs (especially Word and Excel) and experience with mail merges Experience with basic office skills and equipment (phones copy machine) Self-directed worker Work on multiple tasks at one time Work with deadlines Flexible and a fast learner Able to attend events during evening and weekend hours Able to move independently around campus to interface with faculty staff and students
Preferred Qualifications
Mastery of all Microsoft programs (especially Word and Excel) and experience with mail merges Experience with video production and editing Experience with podcasting and editing Experience with Adobe products such as Premier Pro and inDesgin.
