- This position requires an occasional commute to some local job sites in Birmingham AL
- All welding work is performed in our on-site fabrication shop. Travel to job sites is only as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check3+ years of experience as a pipe welderMust be able to pass a 6G weld certification testMust be able to weld in the following styles : MIG, TIG & STICKThe ability to travel (not optional)A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferredExperience piping with cooling towers, chillers, boilers, large roof top equipmentWeld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelinesUtilize hand tools, plasma cutters, and metal cutting machines to measure and cut metal componentsRESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all OSHA safety protocolsObserves and complies with all safety and project rules, as well as all company policies and proceduresMust be detail-oriented, have a positive attitude, and be able to work as part of a teamCollaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work assignmentsSet up, maintain, and operate welding equipment safely and efficientlyAssess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errorsFollow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoesMonitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperatureWeld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positionsBENEFITS
