Project Manager Lead

SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic project manager to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Digital Transformation and Maintenance Modernization (DTAMM) program. The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing a group of project managers responsible for the execution of complex projects from inception to completion. The project manager lead will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills. This position is located in Santa Maria, CA or Cape Canaveral, FL.

Job Responsibilities :

• Lead a group of project managers, providing direction and support as needed.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary, keeping stakeholders informed of any significant changes.
• Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
