The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plymouth MN location for our Electrophysiology Medical Device business. In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
Responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, and facilities expansion. Serves as liaison between the company and local municipalities and agencies related to facilities activities. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. This role will manage multiple sites in Minnesota, as well as support our site in Irvine CA. Will lead and direct a team of 10-15 employees.
What You'll Work On
Develop facilities policies and practices.Oversee facilities planning activities for company.Through intermediate managers, direct space allocations, moves, and facilities construction, modification and maintenance.Implements facilities policies and practicesHire, train, and motivate facilities staff and contractors.Review and approve facilities related contracts and vendor qualifications.Develop and monitor facilities related budgets.Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirementsHires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Sets goals which align to department plans and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirementsComplies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.Required Qualifications
Bachelors DegreeMinimum 9 years experience in facilities management7+ years experience in leading teamsA broad knowledge of the facilities maintenance field with significant expertise in one or more of the following specialties : electrical maintenance, plumbing, gas, pumps, heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC), millwright, and pipefitting.Experience working in a broader enterprise / cross division business unit model preferred.Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationallyThe base pay for this position is $127,300.00 $254,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
