This full-time, permanent Director of Finance role is with a growing commercial building automation company just northeast of Madison. The company designs, builds, and services integrated HVAC and building automation systems for large-scale commercial projects across healthcare, high-rise, office, industrial, municipal, and mixed-use sectors. The duties and responsibilities should be as follows :
Direct and support financial operations, including reporting, banking, 401(k), payments, and strategic planning to assist the President with forecasting and growth initiativesOversee ESOP administration and education, manage IT functions and contractors, and collaborate with HR on insurance, benefits, and compliance mattersPartner with department leaders on cross-functional efforts including recruitment, sales support, and operational alignmentMaintain a high level of integrity in protecting proprietary information, company systems, and digital assetsContribute to company culture and collaboration by supporting special projects, events, and internal initiatives across departmentsThe background of the successful candidate must include the following :
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)5–7 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibilitiesAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with strong professional presenceStrategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze, solve problems, and provide financial insightA solid work history free of short-term roles (minimum of 3 years per employer)Being a US citizen or green card holder
