Mechanical Assembler
The Mechanical Assembler will perform manual labor within a production line, assembling industrial air compressor products, associated parts, and accessories, and packing products according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a production team to assemble industrial air compressor products and parts.
- Follow specific work instructions, documentation, and training for the area.
- Pick up, move, and sort small and large parts.
- Use mechanic tools, basic hand tools, pneumatic and pipe installation tools, and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly.
- Sort and place materials or items on tables, racks, or bins.
- Assemble small and large parts manually per specifications.
- Align mating parts, perform rotational alignments, and conduct pressure tests.
- Install switches, panels, and lights; cut and make up conduit as directed.
- Construct controllers and panels using power drills, drill presses, taps, saws, and punches.
- Remove extraneous material from molded parts.
- Clean assembled parts and place them in protective bags or containers.
- Help maintain an accurate inventory of goods.
- Assume responsibility for quality control, rejecting products outside specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
- Keep workstation organized; properly store parts, tools, test equipment, and documentation.
- Keep the area clean and walkways clear.
- Follow safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company rules and regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement efforts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in assembly work.Experience using hand tools and power tools.Mechanical assembly expertise.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The work environment is non-climate controlled but equipped with large fans and open space. The typical working hours are from 6 am to 2 : 30 pm, with occasional shifts extending until 4 : 30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
