IT Manager

Background :

Our Client a leading regional healthcare provider serving Northeastern Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the hospital’s technology infrastructure and lead a dedicated IT team in supporting clinical and administrative operations. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining and advancing the hospital’s digital systems, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability across the network and all mission-critical applications.

Project :

• Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to the IT department, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence. Oversee a team responsible for network operations, desktop support, and clinical systems administration.
• Manage and optimize the hospital’s network infrastructure, servers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems to ensure secure, high-availability performance across all departments. Partner with external vendors as needed for network upgrades and maintenance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and internal owner for the Athena EMR system, coordinating system updates, integrations, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization to support clinical and billing operations.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of critical hospital systems and third-party applications. Ensure interoperability between the EMR and other core systems (radiology, lab, pharmacy, etc.).
• Implement and maintain data security protocols, user access controls, and backup / recovery procedures in alignment with HIPAA, HITECH, and hospital compliance requirements. Collaborate with leadership on IT risk management and audit readiness.
