DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Caseworker 2, Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Children, Youth and Families (OCYF), under the general supervision of the Casework Supervisor, is responsible for working with a family from the point that they are referred to DHS / OCYF until the family is no longer involved with the agency. The incumbent completes a training curriculum and is aware of and works to complement and further the mission of DHS / OCYF.

Other duties include :

• Investigative Duties

Receives reports of suspected child abuse and / or neglect that are made to DHS / OCYF.

Initiates the Conferencing and Teaming Process if a family is accepted for services.
