What you will be doing :

In this position you will receive applications for financial assistance for assisted living placements through the General Relief Assisted Living Home Care Program. You will coordinate with supervisors and other state entities to make accurate and timely eligibility determinations and benefit authorizations. This position processes monthly General Relief / Temporary Assisted Living authorizations and coordinates with providers to ensure all program requirements are met and that invoices are submitted accurately and completely.

The office is located in Northeast Anchorage (1831 Bragaw Street). It is near Costco East High School various restaurants and a coffee shop. Parking is readily available at the office. You will work closely with other members in both the Division and the Department of Health.

There may be an opportunity for a hybrid telework schedule once you have successfully passed the probation period.

High school graduation or equivalent :

AND

Three years of clerical experience with one year of experience in public health health care services senior services medical assistance programs health education nursing medical social work health services administration or a closely related field.

Substitution : College education from an accredited college with a course emphasis in social services or a related field may substitute for the required experience.
