Your Impact as a Certified Medication Aide

In this role, you will :

Administer Medications : Properly administer prescribed PO, topical (unbroken skin), and rectal medications according to physician’s orders and company policies.

Monitor and Report : Observe for adverse effects of administered medications and report them immediately to the Charge Nurse.

Document Administration : Record all medication administration according to company policies.

Ensure Safety and Security : Maintain the security of the medication cart and ensure a safe, hazard-free environment.

Maintain Confidentiality : Protect the privacy and confidentiality of resident information.

Follow Infection Control Policies : Adhere to infection control protocols during medication administration.

Monitor Resident Status : Notify the Charge Nurse of complaints, reactions, or any changes in resident status.

Report Errors : Report any medication errors immediately to the Charge Nurse.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We’re seeking someone who :

• Holds a current Medication Administration certification from the state.
• Demonstrates competence in medication administration and technical procedures.
• Possesses strong communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
• Is detail-oriented and capable of accurately recording information.
