IT Project Manager

B&W is seeking a highly organized and results-driven IT Project Manager with 3-5 years of experience successfully leading diverse technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery while maintaining effective stakeholder communication and team leadership.

Responsibilities :

  • Work with stakeholders to clearly define project goals, objectives and deliverables
  • Work with resource managers to allocate resources and determine project budget requirements : Assigning team members, equipment, and other resources effectively while monitoring and controlling costs to stay within the allocated budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans : Creating comprehensive plans outlining tasks, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Manage project scope, budget, resources and timeline and document and manage project changes, assessing their impact and working with stakeholders implement them effectively.
  • Oversee project execution : Directing and coordinating project activities, ensuring that tasks are completed according to the plan
  • Identify potential risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies
  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders : Ensure stakeholders understand the project's purpose, timeline and expected deliverables.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled project team meetings to assess status, roadblocks, issues and / or concerns
  • Regularly update stakeholders / IT Management on project status, progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation : Documenting project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, risk registers, lessons learned, and other relevant project artifacts
  • Conduct post-project reviews and analyses : Evaluating project outcomes, identifying lessons learned, and documenting best practices for future projects.

Qualifications :

  • Strong MS Product skills including Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint
  • Proven work experience in project management at varying levels of complexity
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and processes (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, Scrum etc.)
  • Proven experience utilizing MS Project required. Exposure or Knowledge of DevOps / Jira desired but not required
  • Proven experience of successfully leading technology projects through the project lifecycle with strong business partnership
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing project scope changes (i.e. documenting changes, assessing their impact on the project schedule / budget, effectively communicating the impact to project stakeholders and securing the appropriate approvals to proceed)
  • Experience working with Business Analysts and / or Business users to gather and document Project Requirements
  • Experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive status reports
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects, across multiple business units, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years of experience within project management
