Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Our client, a reputable insurance carrier, is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join their Workers Compensation team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to further develop their underwriting career within the insurance industry. This person will provide essential administrative and technical support to underwriters, helping to ensure accurate policy processing, timely submissions, and excellent service to agency partners. This person will work out of our client's North Carolina office.
Responsibilities
- Review submissions, gather necessary information, and prepare documentation for quotes, renewals, and endorsements.
- Enter and maintain policy data accurately within the underwriting system.
- Assist with rating, pricing, and file documentation under the guidance of underwriters.
- Communicate with agents and internal departments to obtain missing information or resolve discrepancies.
- Review issued policies for accuracy and completeness prior to delivery.
- Support the team with special projects and other administrative tasks as needed.
