A top-ranked South Florida health system is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support its Cardiac Surgery (Open Heart) team in the operating room. This full-time role involves comprehensive surgical support and patient care from pre-op to post-op, with regular weekday hours and required on-call rotations.

Key Responsibilities :

First assist in cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting

Conduct pre- and post-op assessments, inpatient rounding, and procedures

Collaborate with surgeons, staff, and families to ensure quality care

Manage clinic patients, facilitate education, and contribute to patient continuity

Participate in call coverage (weekdays, nights, and weekends)

Qualifications :

Masters degree required

5+ years of APP experience, with endoscopic vein harvesting required

Active Florida PA license, DEA license, BLS, ACLS, and national certification

Must meet all credentialing, CME, and licensure renewal requirements
