Senior SQL Server DBA

Hybrid – NYC or Iselin, NJ (Local Only)

Salary : $77K–$150K

We're looking for a hands-on SQL Server DBA with at least 5+ years of experience to join our hybrid team. You'll support critical SQL environments across on-prem and Azure,

handling performance, high availability, automation, and migrations. This role is ideal for someone technical, reliable, and looking to grow into a future Sr. Technical Lead.

What You'll Do :

Manage SQL Server 2012–2019 and Azure SQL (VMs, Managed Instance, PaaS)
Handle HA / DR (Always On, log shipping, replication, mirroring, Oracle RAC)
Troubleshoot and tune performance, queries, deadlocks
Migrate workloads to Azure, automate tasks (PowerShell, Azure Automation)
Monitor systems (SQL Sentry, OpsRamp), manage access and data security
Support developers with SQL optimization and code deployments
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation

Must-Haves :

5+ years of SQL Server DBA experience

Strong SQL skills and hands-on Azure exposure

Ownership mindset, ability to work independently

Solid communication and soft skills

Willingness to work occasional weekends

Professional integrity and team-oriented attitude

Nice to Have :

Financial services or regulated environment experience

Azure or SQL certifications

Growth Path :

Start as a mid-level DBA and grow into a Sr. Technical Lead with increasing project ownership and architecture responsibilities.
