Job Description

We are looking for a CAD operator who works well with team members. This person will report to Estimating Manager and Project Manager. You must have knowledge in AutoCAD and must be able to work well in paper space and model space creating scaled plan layouts and detail sheets. AutoCAD experience is a must.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

  • Responsible for reviewing plans and preparing on screen take-offs
  • Communicate with Clients and Fabricators to assemble complete sets of Shop Drawings
  • Prepare CAD drawings based on customer and / or sales specifications and project estimates; determine scale and perform mathematical calculations
  • Prepare CAD drawings for shop fabrication and onsite setup, including part layouts for CNC.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while hitting all critical timeline milestones
  • Research and obtain standards and codes required by client to develop plans
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements :

  • Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office and Auto-Cad
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and organizational skills with an extremely high

    • level of attention to detail

  • Must be organized & able to manage time well
  • Strong ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • High School Graduate with AutoCAD training
  • Knowledge in Fusion360 and Mecal
  • CAD drafting experience using release 2007 or newer and practice with 2D / 3D model / paper space, scaling and crafting layouts for construction industries
  • Excellent knowledge of drafting standards and ability to contribute to design reviews and improve job efficiencies
  • Ability to quickly dissect large commercial architectural drawing sets to gather relevant information, including knowledge of specification standards
