Switchboard Hiring is looking for a Director of Demand Generation on behalf of our client, an established mid-sized B2B SaaS company. Our client is a market leader known for delivering innovative solutions that empower small to medium sized businesses to work more efficiently and strategically. In this role, you'll lead and scale the demand generation function, driving a comprehensive strategy that encompasses account-based marketing, content marketing, and integrated campaign execution. You'll own accountability for generating pipeline and revenue through data-driven campaigns that directly support our direct sales model. This is a strategic leadership position where you'll build and mentor a high-performing team, develop sophisticated lead-nurturing programs, and partner cross-functionally with sales, revenue operations, and external vendors to optimize every stage of the buyer's journey. Your focus will be on delivering measurable revenue impact through proactive planning, agile execution, and continuous optimization across multiple channels.
Responsibilities
- Build pipeline that converts to revenue. Design and run marketing campaigns (email, webinars, paid ads, ABM) that generate qualified leads and directly impact sales numbers. Track what's working through rigorous ROI analysis.
- Plan strategically, move quickly. Create annual marketing roadmaps with 3+ month campaign lead times, while staying nimble enough to test new channels and tactics that show promise.
- Lead and develop the team. Hire, mentor, and grow a demand gen team that gets better every quarter. Set people up to advance into leadership roles.
- Own the full funnel experience. Partner with SDRs, lead gen vendors, and Revenue Ops to ensure leads flow smoothly from first touch to closed deal—with the right messaging hitting prospects at every stage.
- Make the tech stack work. Keep Salesforce and marketing automation humming so tracking is accurate, reporting is solid, and leads get routed efficiently.
Requirements
7+ years driving B2B SaaS demand gen. Proven track record building pipeline and revenue in fast-growth environments. Fintech experience is a plus.You've built and scaled marketing teams that deliver. Experience hiring, developing, and leading teams with measurable revenue impact—not just activity metrics.Deep understanding of direct sales environments. You know how sales teams operate, can speak their language, and optimize marketing to accelerate deals through the funnel. Bonus if you've sold to or marketed to executive buyers.Data-driven with strong instincts. Comfortable analyzing conversion funnels, multi-channel performance, and ROI. You make decisions based on numbers but know when to trust your gut on new tactics.Player-coach mentality with high EQ. You'll roll up your sleeves while building the team's capabilities. Strong leadership skills, but you're not above doing the work yourself when needed.Benefits
