Temporary Purchasing Agent

TEMPORARY POSITION FOR 90 DAYS $20.00 PER HOUR  Job Description :

• The Purchasing Agent is responsible for placing orders, monitoring the supply process, communicating with vendors, notifying the ships, spas and resorts of delivery details and resolving discrepancies .  Essential Functions Manage the cycle and emergency stock orders process from requisition of purchase order to delivery to vessels.
• Manage vendor performance by P.O.
• Manage the sourcing of out-of-stock items and substitution options upon request from the Manager.
• Update Purchase and Transfer Orders in Epicor to reflect short shipments from vendors and warehouse.
• Communicate stock delivery notifications to all vessels.
• Sourcing projects as designated by the Manager.
• Communicate with spa managers to resolve all open P.O.’s within the smart system.
• Timely review Past Due Report received from warehouse and update with required information.
• Work closely with the Inventory Manager in assisting in quarterly review and clarification of all P.O.’s.
• Receives guidance with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and / or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge / skill.
• Other duties as assigned.
