ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, visualizations, and paginated reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS.

2. Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and data engineers to understand reporting requirements and translate them into compelling BI solutions.

3. Create intuitive user interfaces that support self-service analytics and effective decision-making.

4. Build and manage data models, measures, and calculated columns within visualization tools (e.g., DAX in Power BI).

5. Integrate with various data sources including relational databases, data warehouses, APIs, and flat files.

6. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper use of KPIs and metrics in visualizations.

7. Optimize dashboards and reports for performance, usability, and responsiveness across devices.

8. Apply design best practices, including effective use of color, layout, and interactivity to enhance user experience.

9. Implement and manage row-level security and user permissions in BI platforms.

10. Develop technical documentation including report specifications, data definitions, and user guides.

11. Stay up-to-date with BI industry trends, tools, and features, including AI enhancements in modern BI platforms.

12. Provide support for ad-hoc report development and data exploration requests.

13. Train and support end-users to maximize adoption and value of BI solutions.

14. Collaborate with back-end developers and data engineers to ensure seamless data integration.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications :

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, ten years of experience in data warehousing architectural approaches or equivalent education and related training or experience

2. Ability to derive technical specifications from business requirements and express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to multi-disciplinary teams, in verbal as well as in written form

3. Deep knowledge of SQL, Spark, Python, Git, ETL / ELT tools, Data Modeling tools

Preferred Qualifications :

1. Master's degree in Business or IT

2. Banking or financial services experience

3. Experience developing dashboards and visualizations with Power BI, Tableau and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

4. Experience with AI-powered features in BI tools, such as Power BI’s AI visuals, Tableau’s Explain Data, or integration with Python / R scripts.
