ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 450 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.
Job Summary : This position leads the Service Coordination staff to ensure the social / emotional, educational, and behavioral well-being in accordance with Florida Statutes, Administrative Code, COA standards, and ChildNet’s policies and procedure. This position plays a key role to ensure the continued safe placement of foster care children and their caregivers.

- Responsible for ensuring Service Coordination staff represents ChildNet in all meetings in compliance with Medicaid regulations to review and approve referrals for Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care and Specialized Therapeutic Group Care.
- Collaborate with local Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SAMH) programs and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to monitor the effectiveness of behavioral health services by identifying needs and providing resources.
- Confer with Director of Service Quality and the Director of Contracts to organize evaluations of contracted program performance for presentation to the community.
- Participate in the implementation of programs from various funding sources. Provides data for proposals and / or grant applications.
- Responsible for curating a comprehensive database of individuals, agencies, and foundations supporting and providing health, education and human services for children and families in or at risk of entry into the dependency system.
- Oversee ChildNet’s compliance of psychotropic medication tracking and reporting.
- Maintain current knowledge of issues, trends, and developments relevant to their area of expertise in child welfare practices to ensure compliance.
- Acts as the primary liaison and contact with the Department of Children and families and other agencies as related to the Service Coordination team, which they supervise daily.
- Ensures that work objectives assigned to team members are in alignment with the organization’s values and mission.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills / Requirements :
Years of Experience :
Five (5) years of experience in a Social Service Agency in the public or private sectorFive (5) years of experience in Policy and Procedure development and ImplementationFive (5) years of experience in Community based and Residential treatment programs preferredEducation / Licenses / Certifications :
Master’s Degree in Mental Health field requiredLCSW, LMFT, LMHC or Licensed PsychologistImportant Notes :
