VHS is looking for an OB / GYN Hospitalist for Austin, TX! Program Details

  • Program Start Date : February 20, 2024
  • OB / GYNs to Provide GYN Coverage : Yes
  • OB / GYNs Required to Perform Circumcisions : No
  • OB / GYNs Needed for First Assist : Yes, on occasion for privates requesting assistance on complex cases.
  • Hospitalist to Backup any other specialty? No
  • Backup Available to the Physicians : Yes

Program Objectives :

  • Provide L&D support to ensure consistent high-quality care.
  • Expand access to care for women in the community.
  • Respond to OBED within 30 minutes
  • 24-7 OBED Coverage
  • Backup / Oversight for OB Residents

  • 8 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) rooms
  • 5 Postpartum rooms
  • C-Section Operating Room
  • Nursery Level 4
  • Anesthesia : On-Call 24 / 7
  • MFM : Yes
  • Fetal Monitoring System : Cintricity
  • EMR used in Hospital : Epic
  • EMR used in Clinic : Athena
  • Current OR days for Clinicians : Wednesdays
