Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced, board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to perform aesthetic and wellness treatments, including body contouring, laser treatments, IV infusion therapy, dermal fillers, and neurotoxin injections. The NP will work autonomously under a collaborative agreement with a licensed physician, ensuring all services are provided within Florida's scope of practice and in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, obtain health histories, and determine candidacy for aesthetic and IV treatments
- Administer and monitor IV therapy and wellness infusions
- Perform or oversee non-invasive body contouring procedures in accordance with manufacturer protocols
- Administer neurotoxin and dermal filler injections safely and effectively
- Operate Class I-IV lasers following state-approved laser safety training and established treatment protocols
- Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients about procedures, risks, benefits, and aftercare
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and Florida Department of Health regulations
- Participate in ongoing training, device certification programs, and continuing education to maintain clinical competencies
- Maintain inventory, order medical supplies, and ensure treatment rooms are clean and compliant with infection-control standards
Required Licensure & Certifications (Florida)
Active Florida APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) License - current and in good standingBoard Certification - Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) or Adult-Gerontology NP (AGNP-C) through AANP or ANCCCollaborative Agreement - with supervising physician per Florida statutes (if not an autonomous practice APRN)BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification - American Heart Association or equivalentLaser Safety Certification - Completion of ANSI Z136.1-compliant training specific to devices usedAesthetic Injection Training Certification - Documented training in dermal fillers and neurotoxins (manufacturer or CME-approved course)IV Therapy Certification - Documentation of completion of advanced IV therapy trainingBody Contouring / Device-Specific Certifications - Manufacturer-approved or accredited training on each device utilizedPreferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in aesthetics, dermatology, or a medical spa settingProficiency with multiple injectable products (neurotoxins, dermal fillers) and combination therapy plansExcellent communication and patient education skillsStrong understanding of safety protocols and complication managementRegulatory & Compliance Requirements
Adhere strictly to Florida Board of Nursing regulations and the facility's clinical protocolsMaintain continuing education and CME requirements for license renewalComply with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards, HIPAA, and infection-control guidelinesParticipate in annual competency evaluations and quality assurance programsPhysical & Other Requirements
