The Opportunity
Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for an Inbound Parts Representative to join our team in Washougal, Washington . As the Inbound Parts Representative you will handle inbound inquiries from wholesale customers and end users, providing accurate and timely solutions tailored to the customer's specific needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Inbound Parts Representative your key responsibilities will include :
- Managing a high volume of inbound sales calls from wholesale customers and end users
- Responding quickly and accurately to inquiries in a fast-paced environment
- Identifying and quoting new, used, and rebuilt parts and components based on customer needs
- Assessing the viability of rebuilding components in inventory and structure complete rebuild quotes when applicable
- Collaborating with rebuild technicians and inventory teams to confirm availability, condition, and lead times
- Problem-solving in real time to provide customers with practical, cost-effective solutions
- Maintain detailed quote records and actively follow up on outstanding opportunities
- Demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment components
- Working closely with internal teams, including shipping and administration, to ensure smooth order fulfillment
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies :
Previous experience in parts sales, heavy equipment, or a similar technical environment preferredTechnical knowledge of heavy equipment components and rebuild processesStrong phone communication skills with a customer-focused, solution-oriented approachProven ability to problem-solve and build tailored quotes based on equipment needsHighly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced settingProficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and comfortable communicating via emailExperience with ERP or quoting systems is an assetAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teamsProfessional, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality serviceBenefits & Perks
