Growing twin city firm looking to add a talented Director of Electrical Engineering!
Responsibilities :
- Prepare engineering documents / equipmentspecifications to meet scope of work and ensure application of Electrical Power, Lighting and Systems Design and Principles, and Data, Low Voltage, Security, Paging and clock systems
- Serve as project manager and oversee project team
- Ensure project stays within scope
- Mentor / train electrical engineers / designers
- Set department standards
- Performs quality control reviews of prepared plans, specifications, and documents, reviewing change orders, responding to RFI’s
- Assist with business development (proposals, meetings, presentations)
- Provide work direction to team members / subcontractors
- Approve final equipment selections / drawing submittals
- Provide technical / engineering support
- Construction administration duties including leading / attending meetings, reviewing change orders, responding to RFI’s
- Lead / attend meetings
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering8+ years of experiencePE LicenseEffective meeting management skillsAbility to build rapport / credibility with clientsAbility to organize department in a way to meet project deadlinesStrong attention to detailBasic understanding of Architectural, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practicesWorking knowledge of cost / value for electrical building components for assigned scope of workAutoCAD and REVIT experienceStrong knowledge of NEC and other relevant codesRCDD certification or a strong knowledge of Technology Systems designSuccessful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
