Solutions Engineer

As a vital member of our Analytics and Automation team, this position will primarily focus on citizen development using the Microsoft Power Platform, with an emphasis on Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Key responsibilities will vary depending on level and grade and will include assessing the current state of our applications, defining the desired future state, and creating a comprehensive roadmap with timelines to achieve our objectives within the overarching technical framework established by AEP. Our goal is to rapidly build solutions that address gaps in our enterprise, operationalize new initiatives, and prototype functionality that can be integrated into enterprise solutions. At times, this role will require a strong focus on Power BI, and it will also support a custom C# application that drives a core aspect of our business. This role demands a self-starter who can establish structure, evaluate solutions to ensure they deliver the intended results, and develop systems that are largely self-sustaining.

What You'll Do :

Solutions Development : Interpret specifications and build solutions to those specifications. Generate support documentation. Evaluate and propose process improvements.

Client Alignment and Communication : Align the client's goals, needs, and objectives to the solutions. Communicate issues and status in a clear, timely manner.

Knowledge Management : Build and maintain a high level of knowledge about the company's software / hardware products.

Training and Mentoring : May provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team.

Project Management : Develops advanced solutions to resolve customer and prospective customer issues in a logical, creative and structured manner.

Work Independently : Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and manage tasks without direct supervision.

Solutions Engineer Associate (Grade 05) : $75,000 - $81,000

Education Requirements : Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Work Requirements : No additional experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Solutions Engineer (Grade 06) : $80,000 - $85,000

Education Experience : Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Work Experience : 2 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Solutions Engineer Senior (Grade 07) $84,000 - $100,000

Education Requirements : Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience Requirements : 5 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Engineer Senior (Grade 8) $96,110 - $124,941

Education Requirements : Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience Requirements : 7 years relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Compensation Range : $96,110.00-124,940.00 USD

The Physical Demand Level for this job is : S Sedentary Work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
