Job Responsibilities :

Directs all daily marketing operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of marketing initiatives.

Assures that staff understand and adheres to all laws, statutes and regulations regarding anti-kickback, lawful marketing activities (gifts and services), patient solicitation, and accurate marketing materials.

Ensures maximum third party reimbursement through effective negotiation of service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.

Assists the Executive Director / Administrator in establishing organization volume projections in the annual budget and in establishing allocations for the marketing department. Monitors allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.

Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.

Builds and maintains strong relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.

Recruits, hires, orients, and directly manages the marketing team.

Develops and tracks public, customer, payer, and patient perceptions of Ahava Hospice and Palliative Care as a quality service provider.

Leads strategic planning efforts, identifying opportunities to expand or improve services based on customer needs.

Maintains strong knowledge in marketing and communicates relevant information to appropriate staff.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred. Equivalent related work experience may be acceptable.

Hospice experience is required

Knowledge of corporate business management.

Demonstrated ability to supervise and deal tactfully with customers and the community.

Demonstrates good communication, negotiation and public relations skills.
