We are seeking a Monitor Technician , sometimes referred to as our Telemetry Monitor Technician (Tech) or Tele Monitor Tech. A Tele Monitor Tech will be responsible for observing and interpreting patients’ heart rhythms and other vital data transmitted by telemetry equipment. This role is crucial for identifying and alerting the medical team to any abnormalities or critical changes in a patient’s cardiac or health status. The Monitor Technician detects early warning signs of cardiac events, ensuring timely intervention and improving patient outcomes in our telemetry unit.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to) :
Cardiac monitoring : observe and interpret heart rhythms (ECG / EKG) displayed on telemetry monitorsRecognize normal and abnormal cardiac patterns, such as arrhythmias, and document findingsNotify nurses or physicians of any significant changes in a patient’s heart rhythm or vital signs promptly, escalate critical issues (., life-threatening) immediatelySet up, maintain, and troubleshoot telemetry equipment, including electrodes and monitorsEnsure proper signal transmission and resolve issues with poor connections or faulty equipmentRecord telemetry readings in the patient’s medical record for documentation and review, generate rhythm strips for analysis by the medical teamQualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires, effective April 2014.Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain currentCurrent BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain currentSix months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician#LI-AM5
