Job Description
General Responsibilities :
This position is for a field engineer working primarily in our geophysical department. May at times require heavy travel.
Employee will perform non-invasive geophysical surveys from the ground surface using various geophysical technologies. The primary responsibility of this employee would be to operate and maintain our multi-channel GPR system which travels the country for projects. The employee will be a part of a broad range of project types and gain experience in multiple engineering fields.
The employee must be comfortable working alone as well as with a team, follow instructions, and communicate well with others.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities :
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Developing level Geophysicist responsible for conducting geophysical surveys; assignments are designed to develop knowledge and abilities.
- Performs site visits, field observations and field data collection or assignments.
- Assists in geophysical data collection and tests to evaluate, plan and permit projects.
- Outlines required investigative program(s) by selecting the proper alternative techniques to conduct site studies in field of expertise.
- May have limited client contact pertaining to specific projects / tasks.
Requirements :
High school with preference to Associates / Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience.Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.Willingness to travelPreferred Certification :
Certification in field of expertise based on state specific requirements.
