JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to independently manage and resolve complex employee relations matters. This role involves conducting investigations, supporting leaders with escalated challenges, driving policy alignment, and advising stakeholders on appropriate interventions. Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, the Employee Relations Specialist will collaborate closely with HRBPs, Legal, and People Team leadership to ensure fair, consistent, and effective resolution of workplace issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead independent investigations into employee concerns and policy violations.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to HRBPs and leaders on disciplinary actions, performance discussions, and employee interventions.
  • Evaluate risk, document findings, and recommend resolutions using consistent frameworks.
  • Conduct fact-finding processes, interviews, and workplace assessments.
  • Identify systemic issues and collaborate on mitigation strategies, policy updates, or process improvements.
  • Provide coaching to people leaders on conflict management, feedback delivery, and handling difficult conversations.
  • Support ER-related training initiatives and mentor junior ER Specialists on case handling best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS) with 4+ years of experience in employee relations, HR, conflict resolution, or workplace compliance.
  • Proven experience managing employee relations cases and guiding leaders through workplace concerns.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining policies and case outcomes to diverse stakeholders.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, balancing business needs with fairness and compliance.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Experience using case management systems or HR technology tools.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • HR or ER certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments (e.g., tech / startup).
  • Familiarity with employment laws and employee relations best practices.
  • Experience conducting training sessions or coaching managers on workplace policies.
