Job Summary :

Our client in Saline, MI is looking for a CATIA Programmer / Developer. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do :

  • Creating parametric models to automate making high volumes of similar parts.
  • Develop new automation / tool development for internal customers (R&D engineering).
  • Help expansion of tool database in other segments.
  • Existing tool maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Working in a team of 3-4 and sharing thoughts & ideas collaboratively.
  • End user support (working with internal customers to troubleshoot and improve tools).
  • Tool documentation (help docs, demo videos, etc.).
  • Promoting awareness for new applications (training, new tool advertising, etc.).
  • Website maintenance.
  • Support implementation of data analytics (tracking usage, time savings and flagging underutilized tools and areas for improvement).
  • Weekly status reporting.

Basics :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience using Visual basic and / or C++.
  • Minimum 3 years of CATIA V5 experience.
  • CATIA V5 experience in the following workbenches : Part Design, Generative Shape Design, Assembly Design, Drafting, Knowledge Advisor, Knowledge Expert, DMU Space Analysis, and DMU Navigator.
  • Must have experience with Power copies, UDF’s and templates.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Innovative mindset and experience problem solving.
  • Effective written communication using MS office tools a must.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and improve parametric models in CATIA V5.

    • Preferred :

  • Experience with CAA Rade, html, css, php, python.
  • 3 years of programming in CATIA V5.
  • BS in software or computer science related field.
  • Experience with CAE analysis.
  • Understanding of AI or machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with CATIA V6 and / or 3D experience.
