Physician - Anesthesiologist

UNM Medical Group, Inc. (UNMMG) is seeking an On-Call Staff Physician in Anesthesiology in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The Department of Anesthesiology in the UNM School of Medicine is actively recruiting a physician for PRN / On-Call at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) to provide patient care . Successful candidates will join a group of experienced Anesthesiologists.

Summary

Under indirect supervision, provides and manages direct health care for a specified patient population. Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico (UNM) is seeking a board certified Anesthesiologist for an on-call physician to teach and practice at UNM Hospital and UNM Outpatient Surgical and Imaging Services center (OSIS). Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine comprises of 50 faculty anesthesiologists, 31 residents, 6 fellows, and 41 CRNA / CAAs covering 28 operating rooms, and 7 NORA locations, and perform 24,000+ anesthesia cases a year.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Staff Physician Anesthesiology :

Medical doctor with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty. State of New Mexico and Federal DEA Certification; Medical Specialty License or Certification; Board Certified or Board Eligible in specified area of medical specialty. Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or within three years of residency and active in the certification process. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Experience Working in Trauma Call Assignments
