They are seeking an accomplished Director of Asset Management to support the VP of Asset Management and play a pivotal role in driving performance across a 15,000-unit national portfolio . What You’ll Do
- Serve as a key contributor within the asset management team, directly influencing portfolio performance and long-term value.
- Evaluate property and market performance to uncover opportunities, identify underperformance, and drive strategic improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, revenue management, accounting, capital planning, and operations to maximize asset value.
- Leverage reporting tools and analytics to spot trends, benchmark success, and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Apply a value-oriented mindset to every asset—focusing on revenue strategies, capital deployment, and operational efficiencies.
- Build strong relationships with operating partners, resolving challenges and aligning stakeholders toward shared goals.
- Conduct on-site property assessments to evaluate physical condition, diagnose issues, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Partner with the CapEx team to develop both immediate and long-term capital strategies.
- Track market trends to identify opportunities for renovations, repositionings, expansions, or other value-add initiatives.
- Play a key role in budget creation, annual planning, and reforecasting.
- Support acquisition underwriting and due diligence, providing market intelligence and leasing assumptions.
- Evaluate and roll out new products, technologies, and services designed to boost revenue, reduce costs, or enhance efficiency.
- Mentor and develop junior analysts, contributing to a culture of high performance and continuous growth.
Additional Transition Responsibilities
Oversee monthly and annual cashflow projections across Operations and Accounting.Develop annual capital plans and ensure timely execution across the asset base.Monitor and track litigation and risk items for assigned assets.Maintain ongoing market analysis in partnership with operations and revenue management to meet occupancy and revenue targets.Coordinate internal and external stakeholders during new acquisition transitions.Lead the rollout and performance monitoring of revenue-generating initiatives.What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field.7+ years of asset management or acquisitions experience overseeing large, multi-market portfolios (5,000–7,000+ units), including mixed-use retail; minimum 4 years in multifamily asset management.Deep understanding of real estate operations, financial analysis, budgeting, ROI, cash management, and accounting principles.Ability to interpret competitive surveys, market trend data, and third-party reports to create actionable insights.Experience supporting investment due diligence and forming market-based leasing assumptions.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to distill complex information for diverse audiences.Demonstrated leadership and a track record of developing high-performing teams.Thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and ambitious goals.Based in Dallas and able to travel 20–25%.Ideal background blends finance and operations (75 / 25 or 50 / 50).Apply today or reach out to Kelsey Arnall for more information!
