Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to survey staff and field crews.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality results.
  • Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and manage contracts for survey and construction projects.
  • Review and prepare CAD drawings for boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA / NSPS surveys, land title surveys, as-built surveys, subdivision maps, and other survey-related documentation.
  • Process submittals with city, county, and public agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate construction bid document preparation and manage contract administration.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Engineering Disciplines

    Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Experience in office mapping and survey project management for private land development and public works projects, particularly in California.
  • Strong knowledge of California jurisdictional codes, local municipal standards, and regulatory procedures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office; familiarity with Carlson software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare construction staking calculations, take-offs, legal descriptions, closure calculations, boundary analysis, and exhibits.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Direct daily activities for field crews and coordinate with project engineers and survey analysts.
  • Schedule field staff, evaluate performance, and manage project budgets and contract hours.
  • Ensure staff adherence to project goals, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
