Budget Analyst

We are seeking a Budget and Cost Tracking Specialist with experience in power plant maintenance within the power generation industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing operating budgets, reviewing expenditures, maintaining accurate records, and auditing accounts. This role involves compiling and reviewing budgets based on actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses and income. The specialist will ensure departmental expenditures comply with budget allocations and establish measures for budgetary control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating budgets for various units and departments.
• Review expenditures for conformance with budget allocations.
• Maintain accurate spending records and audit accounts.
• Compile and review budgets considering actual performance and estimated expenses.
• Ensure compliance with budgetary allocations across departments.
• Establish and implement measures for budgetary control.
• Perform cost tracking and scheduling for power plant overhaul projects.
• Act as Business Lead to oversee project budget, actual costs, daily burn rate, and monthly accruals.
• Ensure project costs meet budget and forecast expectations.

Work Environment

The role involves working in an industrial environment, requiring the use of personal protection equipment. The candidate will utilize scheduling software like MS Project or Primavera and engage in budget analysis and cost tracking activities to support power plant maintenance operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
