Hourly Rate : $23 - $25 Per Hour

Location : On-Site – Seattle Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Seattle, WA 98108
2 Shifts Available, we are in need of a supervisor for each shift :
- Day Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM
- Evening Shift : 3 : 30 PM – 12 : 00 AM
Position Summary
CLJ Consulting and Contracting LLC seeks dependable and experienced Janitorial / Custodial Shift Supervisor to support custodial operations at the Seattle VAMC. Each Shift Leader will be responsible for supervising custodial staff during their assigned shift, ensuring all cleaning and sanitation tasks are completed in accordance with contract requirements, safety standards, and VA facility protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site leadership and supervision throughout the entire assigned shift.Assign daily tasks, train new staff, and monitor performance to ensure quality and efficiency.Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to verify cleanliness and compliance with standards.Perform custodial duties as needed, including cleaning restrooms, floors, offices, and common areas.Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, report shortages or maintenance needs.Enforce safety procedures, including proper chemical handling and end-of-shift security protocols.Serve as the primary point of contact for facility personnel, vendors, and building occupants during the shift.Support special event setups and respond to custodial emergencies as required.Minimum Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience as a site lead or supervisor in custodial or housekeeping services.High school diploma or equivalent required.Proven ability to supervise, train, and support a custodial team.Knowledgeable in standard cleaning practices, equipment, and safety protocols.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment.Flexibility to work assigned shift hours and adapt to facility needs.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with custodial scheduling and inventory management.Knowledge of custodial emergency response and building security procedures.Proficiency in following and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Additional Information
This is a full-time, on-site position. Shift Leaders must be present for the full duration of their assigned shift.Compliance with all VA facility policies and contract performance standards is required.
