POSITION OVERVIEW The Materials Planner / Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that production has the right materials, in the right place, at the right time.  This role bridges the gap between procurement, production and logistics – driving on-time delivery, supplier performance, and inventory accuracy across the organization.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities shift daily.  Experience with ERP systems (PLEX, SAP, or similar systems) and strong communication across teams will be key to success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plans and schedules material requirements to meet production demands and maintains safety stock levels.

Forecasts supply needs, monitory usage trends, and proactively adjust replenishment strategies.

Manages supplier relationships, issues Pos, tracks deliveries, and expedites orders when needed.

Coordinates shipping and delivery schedules to customers in alignment with production capacity.

Maintains ERP data integrity (PLEX preferred) including BOMs, lead times, and order status.

Identifies and resolves material shortages or bottlenecks using root-cause problem solving.

Supports continuous improvement initiatives to streamline material flow and reduce waste.

Prepares and analyzes regular reports on inventory, supplier performance, and schedule adherence.

Collaborates cross-functionally with production, purchasing, engineering, and quality to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Minimizes obsolete inventory and manage disposition of surplus materials.
