Junior Scala Engineer (Remote)

Responsibilities

Kforce is seeking a Junior Scala Engineer to join our team in support of a major telecommunications client. This is a remote contract opportunity for an early-career engineer who is eager to learn, grow, and make an impact within a large-scale data platform environment.Summary : Our client is seeking an engineer with 2-3 years of experience, a strong foundation in Scala, solid familiarity with Kafka, and hands-on experience building streaming data pipelines. This is a highly technical role focused on developing and maintaining scalable, reliable data systems that power critical business operations.Responsibilities :

• Design and build scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver datasets for internal teams and external stakeholders
• Develop and maintain real-time streaming and hourly batch-processing pipelines
• Implement new data exports and update business logic across multiple data feeds
• Contribute to high-volume, billion-scale streaming data infrastructure
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity throughout ingestion and processing

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical / dental / vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
