About The Position
We are seeking a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and features 24-hour in-house shifts supporting a NICU. Responsibilities and Duties
Provide advanced clinical care within a NICUManage NICU and newborn average daily census of 20, with approximately 1,700 annual deliveriesOversee newborn admissions, with a 95 percent admit rateAdminister advanced therapies including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermiaSupport pediatric surgical procedures (excluding cardiac surgery except PDA ligations; no ECMO)Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomesMaintain thorough documentation and adherence to all clinical protocolsAdditional Information
Current APRN national specialty certification requiredActive Virginia license requiredMinimum of a master's degree requiredAt least six months of recent clinical experience in neonatology requiredMust have been clinically active within the past yearCompletion of prescreen questionnaire and CV in MM / YYYY format (with all gaps explained) requiredRequired board certification : NeonatologyBenefits
