Assistant Janitorial Supervisor

The primary function of the Assistant Janitorial Supervisor is to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of facilities while adhering to directives from supervisors, management, and executive staff. The role involves undertaking heavy cleaning duties, including managing hard and carpeted floors, walls, and glass, as well as removing rubbish and operating various equipment. A willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential, and reliable attendance is a significant factor in this job classification.

Responsibilities :

• Interact with the public consistently and daily.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Perform vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of floors and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, and countertops.
• Replace supplies in the bathrooms and wipe down surfaces.
• Empty all trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles as necessary.
• Transport full trash bags to the dumpster chute for disposal.
• Clean windowsills and windows.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Properly label, dilute, and use all chemicals.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Wipe down tables, rearrange chairs, and mop up spills as needed.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings and events.
• Conduct regular checks of assigned sections every 30 minutes, including restrooms.
• Be equipped with a dustpan, broom, putty knife, cleaning rags, and spray bottle at all times.

Work Environment :

The position requires working overnight shifts from 10 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM. The work involves handling various cleaning technologies and equipment, with a focus on maintaining a safe and clean environment. Proper attire, including personal protective equipment, is required at all times.
