VP Finance & HR will provide operational leadership, planning and oversight of the financial resources of the firm. The highest priority is functioning as an advocate to the CEO and COO. Additionally, the VP Finance & HR will lead all review, development, and implementation of the organization's financial policies related to accounting, reporting, tax, and human resources. The candidate will have direct responsibility for a wide range of administrative responsibilities associated with the operation and management of the Finance and HR teams and will serve as a member of the company's C-Suite Weekly L-10 Meeting.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting, Tax and ReportingOversees, directs and ensures integrity, preparation and timely submission of the company's financial statements including all of the filing requirements.Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure timely monthly and annual closings and accurate financial statement and Executive Summary preparation.Participates in the communication of the firm's results of operation, accounting procedures and policies, forecasts and other relevant financial information.Ensures that appropriate financial controls are in place.Manages treasury and cash management functions.Ensures that timely and accurate management reports, budgets and analysis of financial performance are provided to leadership.Lead monthly Internal Health and Finance Health Meetings providing insights into our Company health.Experienced with the preparation and understanding of corporate and individual tax returns, and flow-through impacts.Ensures tax compliance and all corporate and state tax filings for the company.Lead the firm's annual budgeting process.Provide strategic financial advice on the overall direction of the company and proposed revenue channels.Review, modify if needed, and report on financial KPIs for the business.Evaluates and advises on the financial impact of potential developments, divestitures, new programs, regulatory compliance, and funding activities.AdministrationPromote GSU's core values and enhance the existing culture of the company;Assist, when appropriate, Visionary and Integrator in the overall operations of the company;Oversee the annual health insurance renewal process with the HR team to ensure maximizing the benefit programsLead the annual corporate insurance renewal process, ensuring proper coverage and risk mitigationManage and mentor the Finance & HR department leadershipEnsure the continual training, education and career advancement of the team members in the department.Regularly interface with banks and other lenders and manage debt relationships as applicableFunctional / Technical Requirements
Currently a VP Finance or Controller of a privately held firm with revenue in excess of $25MMust possess strong financial analysis skills, including cash flow and financial projection analysis experience utilizing Excel or similar programs,Must have the ability to multi-task and manage a varied and constantly changing workload in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Highly effective communication, presentation and listening abilities.Ability to set personal and project priorities and be highly organized in day-to-day and longer term planning and execution, and track and maintain complex schedules effectively.Exhibit strong leadership and the ability to mentor and extract the highest potential from supporting personnelDemonstrated experience and familiarity reviewing contracts and agreements to identify potential business risks and / or unacceptable termsExperienced working with a diverse population working 100% remotely from LATAM and South Africa;Working knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting procedures;Working knowledge of U.S. individual & federal income, and state & federal payroll tax code and compliance.Personal Attributes

10+ years' experience leading Finance or Accounting Teams in a high growth environmentPrevious experience leading payroll and HR functions in a similar size firmBS in Finance or AccountingMBA or other applicable Post Graduate Degree a plusWork Shift :
