Pipelayer
At Moss Utilities, we specialize in underground utility installations across the DFW Metroplex. Our project experience includes commercial, single-family residential, multi-family residential, and public works infrastructure. Founded in 2016, Moss Utilities carries forward a family legacy in Dallas-Fort Worth utility construction dating back to the early 1900s. Position Overview : The Pipelayer is responsible for installing sanitary sewer, storm and water systems by accurately aligning, positioning, and connecting pipe structures according to project specifications.
Responsibilities :
- Install sanitary sewer, storm and water systems.
- Cut pipes to specified lengths according to project requirements.
- Assist with aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
- Verify slopes and grades using levels, lasers, or other measuring equipment.
- Connect pipe sections and seal joints using welding equipment, cement, or approved adhesives.
- Tap and drill holes in pipes to install auxiliary lines or devices.
- Cover pipes with soil or other approved materials.
- Grade and level trench bases using tamping machines and hand tools.
- Train crew members in proper pipe-laying techniques.
- Perform other general labor and construction-related duties as required.
