Corporate Payroll Coordinator

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented  Payroll Coordinator  for  our  corporate headquarters in Birmingham. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while providing exceptional payroll and billing services for both internal and external customers. Pay Rate

18.00-20.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm .

Payroll Coordinator   Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audit timecards against payroll hours to ensure accuracy  in payments and billing.
  • Maintain payroll operations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, deductions, and other payroll information.
  • Generate payroll files and ensure timely  payroll  submission.
  • Generate and send out customer invoices.
  • Assemble payroll packages for distribution  to branches as needed .
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers, as well as branches .
  • Support branches with payroll training, answering questions, etc, as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state pay guidelines.

Payroll Coordinator   Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of comparable experience.
  • Ability  to adapt to other computer programs as needed ; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a big plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills , both verbal and electronic .
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Previous staffing experience is a plus.
