About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Development and Communications Officer to take on an executive-level role in shaping and directing the organization's fundraising efforts, communications strategy, and brand identity. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy that supports the company's mission and vision, as well as leading all communication efforts, including public relations, marketing, and digital media. This pivotal position requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, a proven track record in fundraising and communications, and the ability to work closely with the executive team to ensure the implementation of strategic plans. Key responsibilities for the Chief Development and Communications Officer at the company include leading and managing all fundraising initiatives, from major gifts to capital campaigns, and cultivating relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community leaders. The role also involves overseeing the creation of marketing and communications materials, maintaining the organization's brand identity, and mentoring a team to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in a relevant field, a minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in fundraising and communications, a proven track record in securing major gifts, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in donor database management, digital marketing tools, and social media platforms, as well as a demonstrated ability to think strategically and a commitment to high ethical standards, are essential for this position.
