Procurement Manager-Meat

Summary : We’re seeking an experienced Procurement Manager – Meat to lead meat sourcing and supplier performance for our manufacturing facility. This role is key to ensuring product quality, yield optimization, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity. Ideal candidates will bring strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with a solid background in protein sourcing and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee daily meat procurement to meet production and inventory goals.

Monitor supplier yield and performance; identify cost-saving opportunities.

Manage replenishment planning and order execution.

Ensure compliance with meat specifications, quality, and regulatory standards.

Support new product development with sourcing and pricing input.

Maintain accurate procurement data and vendor contracts.

Foster strong supplier relationships to drive performance and improvement.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Meat / Animal Science, Business, or related field.

5–8 years’ experience in meat / protein procurement within food manufacturing.

Deep knowledge of meat specs, USDA regulations, and cold chain logistics.

Proven skills in vendor negotiation, cost modeling, and yield analysis.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Excel.

Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
