job_description.job_card.job_descriptionFully remote flexibility (with required in-person court appearances as needed) Unlimited PTO Health insurance Paid malpractice insurance, CLEs, and professional membership fees Competitive compensation : $110,000 $160,000 depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity No billable hour requirement Full-time legal assistant / paralegal support Minimal meetings just a quick daily check-in, weekly case review, and a monthly virtual team lunch Flexible working hours (our core hours are 9 : 30 am 5 : 30 pm, but we're results-focused, not clock-focused) 401k Handle business litigation cases with a high level of independence and strategic oversight Provide responsive, thoughtful legal counsel that reflects the clients unique goals Draft and review legal documents (contracts, pleadings, motions, briefs, settlements) Conduct legal research and represent clients in court hearings and proceedings Proactively manage deadlines and identify potential issues before they become problems Collaborate with our team in an environment built on trust, shared ownership, and constant improvement JD from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in Virginia (DC and / or Maryland a plus) 35 years of litigation experience (ideally at a mid-sized or large firm) Experience handling litigation matters independently, from pleadings to resolution Excellent research, writing, and communication skills Familiar with tech tools like Zoom, Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint), Adobe, and Clio Must live in the DMV area and be willing to travel for court appearances and depositions as needed
