Anchor Bar Restaurant : Hiring for Bartenders
- Pay Rate : $2.13 per hour - $4.13 per hour
- Reports to : Management
Position Summary :
The Bartender is responsible for greeting and attending to all customers promptly. Excellent customer service skills and bartending knowledge are essential.
Responsibilities :
Follow the Anchor Bar standard of service.Adhere to Anchor Bar uniform guidelines and standards of appearance.Make specific suggestions and up-sell food and drinks, maintaining complete knowledge of the Anchor Bar menus.Use sales techniques to increase check averages.Accurately take customer orders and input them correctly into the POS system.Verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age and uphold state and local liquor laws.Ring orders into the POS system and communicate any additional information to bartenders and cooks.Ensure all food and drinks served meet Anchor Bar standards of quality and freshness.Observe customers and respond to additional requests promptly.Ensure all takeout orders are accurate and properly packaged before providing them to the customer (when not handled by hosts or takeout staff).Total customer checks in the POS system and present checks in a timely manner.Clear, clean, and maintain tables and the bar area, following sanitation procedures.Refill beverages as needed.Perform "running side work," such as stocking service areas with napkins, condiments, silverware, etc.Promote teamwork consistently.Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager on duty.Qualifications :
Must be at least 21 years of age.Bartending experience preferred.Ability to enforce company policies regarding alcohol consumption.Strong communication skills and the ability to understand the predominant language(s) in the restaurant's service area.Exceptional customer service and social awareness.Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.Excellent basic math skills and the ability to operate a POS system.Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods (up to 5 hours).Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift heavy items.Complete understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
