Work Hours per week : up to 20.0

Hourly Rate of Pay : $14.00

What our office does : CSN Libraries provides multiple library resources to CSN students faculty staff and the general public using excellent customer service skills

Position Description

This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties :

Answering and transferring calls on multi-line phone

Maintaining cleanliness of library space

Data entry and minor troubleshooting of computers / printers / copiers

Assisting walk-in students

Organizing library materials on / off main library floor

Helping with circulation of materials in / out of library

Additional duties as assigned

Our services benefit : CSN students staff faculty and local community members

Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree / Certificate Programs : Communication English Sociology and Business Administration.

Required Qualifications :

Customer service skills preferred and computer experience required. Ability to alphabetize with accuracy and speed ability to push heavy book carts up to but not to limited to 50 pounds ability to bend stoop stand and / or sit for long periods of time required. Dependability and punctuality is a must.

Preferred Qualifications :

Be friendly outgoing and willing to learn; have a good understanding of diverse multicultural environments; be able to follow directions and communicate well; have knowledge of Microsoft Office systems; be punctual reliable and trustworthy.
