American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a float pool position requiring strong cardiac drip titration skills and flexibility to float between multiple acute care units.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital environment within the Telemetry Float PoolFloat between Telemetry, Neuro, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, observation, and holding areas across Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campusesShifts are 12 hours, 7-7, nights, with 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule and a requirement to work 2 of 3 major holidaysPatient ratios are typically 1 : 3-4 in Telemetry and Neuro units and 1 : 4 in MedSurg unitsCentralized telemetry monitoring with the need to interpret EKGsUse of Cerner for EMR charting, experience preferredMust be the first to float within the staffing pool, including mid-shift floatingNo pediatric patients; care for adults and adolescents aged 15 and olderResponsible for caring for a mixed patient population, including post-cath lab, vascular, neuro, surgical, ortho, and oncology patientsCare settings include observation units, MedSurg, and all Telemetry units; may float to ICU or Cath Lab holding areas as skill allowsTwo-day floor orientation provided per unit assignmentScrub color required is navy blueMust provide coverage during major holidays as scheduledTesting includes pass / fail sterile technique assessments on orientation24 / 7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support availableCandidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates\n \n Requirements\n
Active AZ or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent inpatient RN experienceCurrent certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSSAbility to titrate cardiac drips including Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and DobutamineMust pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts)Pass / fail simulation lab required on orientation dayReferences required from one recent supervisor (last 12 months) and one supervisor or peer (last 3 years)Copy of driver’s license requiredMay not have been employed by CommonSpirit (CHI, Dignity) in the past year\n Benefits\n
