Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality Adult Respiratory Care. In this role, you will perform essential duties to treat patients according to physician orders and departmental policies. You will work independently in acute and critical care settings, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to recommend appropriate treatments for patients of all ages, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities
Supervision
This position reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive, and has no management responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduates from an American Medical Association-approved school for Respiratory Therapy or those eligible for licensure in South Carolina, as well as senior students graduating within the next three months, are encouraged to apply.
Required Certifications
Applicants must possess a South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license or be eligible for licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and NBRC credentials must be maintained. Employees hired prior to June 2016 may have a Certified Respiratory Therapist certification.
Candidates hired after June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation. Failure to complete the latter will result in termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are required for working independently in the Children's Hospital's NICU and PICU.
Other Skills and Experience
Strong team collaboration, communication, computer, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
