What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients and visitors at healthcare locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, offering support to staff, patients, and visitors as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a welcoming environment. Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established procedures. Collaborate with site personnel and local law enforcement as required to address incidents and / or emergencies. Participate in site-specific training and maintain awareness of policies and procedures relevant to the healthcare environment. Minimum Requirements : At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Vaccinations are required for work in a hospital environment. Work in a hospital environment may require duties involving the morgue. Work in a hospital environment may require restraining individuals. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
