About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

This role is ideal for someone who has developed strong instincts for semiconductor analysis and wants to apply that expertise directly to decisions at the frontier of AI development.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand our internal database tracking upcoming chips, roadmaps, and relevant hardware developments across the industry
- Take meetings with hardware vendors, evaluating new offerings and surfacing relevant opportunities to the team
- Support strategic analysis of Anthropic’s compute posture, including training and inference hardware decisions
- Monitor industry developments, synthesizing information from vendor announcements, technical publications, and market intelligence
- Collaborate with infrastructure, finance, and technical teams to inform hardware procurement and capacity planning decisions
- Develop frameworks and models to compare hardware options across performance, cost, availability, and strategic dimensions
